After Scaling/Prophylaxis
1. Sensitivity May Occured For 1-2 Days .
2. Avoid Taking Cold Products i,e. Cold Water, Cold Drinks Etc.
After Extraction
- For Inj. Area: Lips, teeth and tongue are numb due to anaesthesia after the surgical procedure/Extraction . So avoid chewing until 2-3 hours after the procedure until sensation regained. Apply cold pack/ Ice cube out side the operated area if any swelling appears on the face.
- Bite firmly the gauze piece for about 45 -60 minutes, and remove it after word's with clean hand/finger, Don't touch the operated area.
- Do not rinse for at least 24 hours after the procedure.
- Do not spit repeatedly. Swallow the saliva.
- Take medication as directed by us, inform us if you feel any Drowsiness, Heartburn, Gas issues, Loose Motion due to Medication.
- Drink lots of fluids and eat soft food after the procedure For Atleast 24 hours.
- Put a teaspoon of salt in warm water and rinse with it for at least three times a day since the next day of the procedure.
- When you brush the next day avoid cleaning the area of extraction site.
After Filling
- Sensitivity to hot and cold might be there which will come down gradually with in 2-4 days.
- Avoid sticky (especially gums) and hard foods as they tend to dislodge the filling.
- Consult Us If Pain Occured After The Restoration/Filling's.
For Crowns and Bridges
- There might be soreness or sensitivity which will come's down gradually.
- It is important to brush normally and floss carefully.
- Do not bite hard objects or chew sticky food.
- In some cases, the crown the bridge might come off. These can be re-cemented back into its place.
- Maintain proper oral hygiene and visit your dentist every six months for cleaning.
For Implants
- Do not spit, swallow your saliva .
- Avoid alcohol , smoking or Any Form Of Product That Contain Tobacco.
- Keep fingers and tongue away from the surgical site.
- You can apply a cold compress for first few hours to reduce the swelling.
- Take all medications as prescribed by your doctor.
- While brushing the teeth avoid the surgical area.
- Avoid using mouthwashes that contain alcohol.
- Chew on the opposite side of treated area.
After Periodontal Surgery
- Do not eat anything until the numbness has worn off.
- Do not rinse vigorously, or drink through a straw.
- Eat soft and nutritious food. Avoid hot and spicy food.
- Do not use tobacco or drink alcohol.
- Slight bleeding is not unusual. If it continues, apply ice pack on the outside of your face and keep your head elevated using pillows while lying down.
- You need to visit the dentist after one week for removal of sutures.
After Scaling/Prophylaxis
